This policy explains what information IncenseNashtrays collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. IncenseNashtrays is the editorial arm of the Black American Music Family Tree Historical Foundation.
Information we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and the contents of your order. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address. Our newsletter is hosted by Substack, and your subscription is governed by Substack’s privacy policy as well as this one.
When you browse the site: standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To process, fulfill, and ship your order
- To send order confirmations and shipping notifications
- To respond to questions, exchange requests, and support email
- To send the newsletter, if you subscribed
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it
- To detect and prevent fraud
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with the services that make the site work:
- Printful — receives your name and shipping address to print and ship your order
- Our payment processors — handle card and wallet payments directly
- Substack — hosts the newsletter and stores subscriber email addresses
- Our web host — stores site and order data
- YouTube and Instagram — embedded content on the site may set cookies under their own policies
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working, remember your preferences, and measure site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site — particularly the cart and checkout — may not function correctly if you do.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. To make a request, email contact@incensenashtrays.com.
Note that we may need to retain certain order records even after a deletion request, where the law requires it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
